Digital Project Manager                      
Scientific Editor





The Digital Project Manager is responsible for driving digital projects from initial concept through to delivery. Working closely with the client services, UX, design, copy and development teams, this role will work across a range of clients on multiple projects.

Reporting to the Digital Project Director, you’ll be responsible for scoping and managing the end-to-end delivery of digital project lifecycles. A client-facing role, you must be adept at managing and building client relationships and reporting on the status of projects. You will be required to be up to date with the IPS delivery processes and be able to follow and confidently communicate them, where applicable, to the client.

You will have experience of managing digital production across a range of projects from apps to desktop and mobile enabled web platforms. You will support the production of project scopes, functional specifications, estimating project timescales, risks and assumptions, as well as the resource requirements for the successful completion of digital projects.


Location: You will be based in our Oxford City Centre office

Experience, skills and qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of digital project management with at least 1+ years demonstrable experience in a software development environment, delivering a range of digital projects.
  • Excellent working knowledge of web technologies with a background of building websites, apps and online campaigns.
  • Experience of writing or contributing to functional and technical specifications, sitemaps, and wireframes.
  • Production of project plans, management of workload and ability to keep production on-track.
  • Excellent at scheduling with a talent for maintaining project momentum.
  • Experience of working closely with clients and adept at building client relationships and managing expectations.
  • Ability to manage estimates, cost schedules, and delivery to budget.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and multi-task across teams.
  • Good working knowledge of Jira, and other software tools such as Asana, Smartsheet Trello, Basecamp, and Slack.
  • Experience of working with the Agile project management methodology.

Specific skills required include

  • At least 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task proficiently
  • A deep understanding of all key areas of digital delivery
  • Knowledge of the App development process is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A team player with the ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships both with clients and within the agency

Our growing company is looking for a candidate with a passion for science and a keen eye for detail to join our team. Your ultimate goal will be to provide an exceptional service and to maintain the high standards that our clients expect from us. As a scientific editor, your responsibilities will include checking documents are compliant to the ABPI code, creating content, and copyediting across a range of therapy areas.

Full training is provided, during which each editor is trained on the ABPI code, and all scientific areas required to support the IPS client portfolio. Once trained the primary role will be editing. Content creation alongside other duties will be performed as and when required. Other opportunities will exist to develop new skills and to support other key areas of the business.

You will work within the Scientific team reporting to the Scientific Lead.

  • Excellent command of the English language and attention to detail

  • A strong scientific background 

  • An interest in learning about the following therapy areas: Immunology, genetics, oncology, neuroscience, rare diseases

  • Experience of peer-reviewing

  • Experience with publishing, copy-writing or editing

  • Previous experience of writing for scientific publications/agencies or academic submissions
